Samhain Simmering Mix
- £13.99
Samhain is celebrated on the 31st of October and is also known as the Witches New Year. It marks the end of the previous wheel and the start of a brand new cycle. It is also the time when we honour our ancestors and those we love who have passed.
Simmering pots are one of my faourite forms of magick within the home! Its simple, all natural, powerful and fills your home with the most incredible scent and energy. Our Samhain simmering mix is made with dried herbs and fruits aligned with the energy of the sabbat welcoming the Witches New Year, filling your home with blessings and honouring your ancestors. Its the pure smell of autumn and bring with it a warmth that spread through the house.
Simmering pots can be their own ritual or part of your larger Samhain celebrations and rituals.
How To Use - Fill a saucepan with water and add your simmering mix focusing on your intentions and the energy of Samhain. You can also add a personal intention or have the whole family add an intention aligned with the sabbat by grabbing some bay leave and writing them on one side then placing in the pan with the mix. Alternative lay your hands over top of the pot and add intention that way.
When you are ready place the pan on the hob top on a gentle heat and bring the pot to a boil, when it hits boiling point turn down immediately to a simmer and leave simmer on the stove. Keep an eye on the pot and add extra water if its needed at any point, its up to you how long you want to simmer your pot for.
Once complete take off the heat and allow the mix to cool. I like to take the cooled mix and empty the saucepan into the garden under a plant or bush, you could add the herbs to a compost pile, use the water in another way etc. Do not just throw it away down the sink though!!!
